Why hot wax?

A properly waxed chain runs dry to the touch, without the sticky film of an oil-based lubricant. Prepare the chain before its first wax, then rewax as riding conditions require.

What is in each kit?

Pot Only: SILCA Chain Waxing System.
Starter: pot, Hot Melt Wax and Chain Stripper.
Endurance: Starter Kit plus EnduranceChip.
Speed: Starter Kit plus SpeedChip.

Chain and chain-removal tools are not included.

Chain prep & chip instructions

StripChip prepares a new factory-greased chain in the pot. Chain Stripper prepares a new or used chain separately. Performance chips are optional; buying several does not mean using them all together.
